new wheels..gets confusing huh?
Greetings,
Just for fun I did some wheel shopping and read five (5) pages of posts. Interesting stuff and learned a lot about offsets and such.
This makes sense:
Offsets are simple. Lower offsets mean they are closer to the fenders. Example, +22 is closer to the fender than +40. Conversely, a higher offset numbers are closer to the suspension.
Now I'm an "old school" guy. I like a polished rim with a silver center. I found a couple I like on Tire Rack. With this page you can get a good look at the wheel and how it appears on the tC.
My concerns are as follows:
1) To get a polished lip wheel the offset becomes larger.
2) I would like the option of a TRD BBK open down the road. (this might not happen with aftermarket wheels however)
3) Would like to stay as close to factory spacing as possible. (no rubbing of tires against fenders or suspension.
Looks like sacrifices are inevitable going to aftermarket wheels. I like the following wheels.

Have you taken a look at XXR wheels their 521's might be to your liking and should clear the BBK. they are not silver in the middle but have a polished lip and you can always paint the center

Thanks guys, I'll check them out.
These might fit the bill nicely. The offset is only one (1) mm closer to the fender so the TRD BBK should still fit down the road.
