Default Tire sizes

I have a 2014 Scion tC. Tire spec is p225 45 R18. I'm having a hard time around my area finding that specific size tire. So my question is can I put on 235 50R18's on with no problems other than the speeding a bit off? I also have to pass inspection with them and don't wanna waste my money if it won't be passable.

Hello Bubbasparx! Welcome to SL!

The 2015 Chart will be the Same for your 2014.
Yes, it will fit. But, you will have a -4.7% Speedo Error because of the bigger Diameter.

Also Check out the:
tC 2G+ Wheel, Tire and Offset Calculator

Personally, I would not go that route. I recently had the replace a tire with the OEM size 225/45R18. That is the only size I would use.
It is pricey but, you find find one online and for less than your local tire dealers.

Your Choice.
