Wheel/tire size help
I didn't want to start a new thread but I don't have the actual rims yet, and I was looking confirmation
I'm looking to get the Tenzo R DC-6 18x8 35et. Will this fit with the 225/45/15 stock tires + TRD lowering springs? Will there be too much stretch and should I just get new tires altogether, I'd like to keep the stock tires for now.
On the specs page, the specs say stock is 35et. On this website I'm looking at , it says there is a 45et and a 35et it says the 45et fits but the 35 doesn't. What would be the best fit?
Thx

+35et would be best on that rim.+ 45 would not look good for this car with an 8 inch wide rim. Your stock tires will be just fine. Stock rim is 7.5 inches wide and stock offset is +39mm. It is stamped on the inside of the wheel. For a better look I'd find a 9' wide wheel with a +35 to a +40 offset. An 8" wide rim with a 35mm offset will not give a flush looking fit. It will be better than stock, but not much. Most pics in the new wheel thread are of 9.5 inch wide wheels with +35 to +45 offset. +40 is optimal for brake and fender clearance. Tenzo's look nice but they are heavy and limited in width options.
A 225/45/15 tire will not fit on an 18x8 wheel...
Assuming that was just a typo, the stock tires will fit just fine on an 8 inch wide wheel, I am running the stock tires on 18x9.5 wheels, no issues at all...
i dont want to steal other's thread or make new thread, but i need a help. planning to buy wheels in a month or couple...
wheel is xxr 522 18x9.5 +38 5-100/5-114.3. oh yeah, will this fit on our tc2? and what tire size can i use? car is on trd springs.

Hopfully you'll be getting the chromium black and not the riced out gold crap. The flat black looks like you haven't washed the brake dust off the wheel. I'd also upgrade to 19" instead of sticking with the stock 18" size. 20" is just a tad too large for the body of the car.
BTW where are you buying the wheels?
I found this for good 19x8.5 +38 for $177ea......

First and second gens are different...
To the OP, Yes those will fit, you can run anything from a 225/45 series tire to like a 265/35 and still be fine.
I am running the original tires on my 006's in 18x9.5 +35
Yeah maybe look wise and the fact that the second gens come with 18" wheels now and a 2.5L engine. The car is still built on the Toyota Avensis platform soooooo what has changed? I have found nothing so far that relates to his new rims fitting any differently then on the first gen tC's.
