bumper lights?
i ordered clear side markers and clear bumper lights from ScionXFactor. They came in today, and i was easily able to swap the side markers, but im having trouble with the bumper ones. how do they come out? i dont want to damage the bumper or anything so i want to get some input before i try anything has anyone else done this? let me know, thanks!
nevermind, i was able to do them. they look great! i definitely reccommend both the clear side marker lights and the clear bumper lights. you can get them with clear bulbs that blink orange, or clear bulbs that blink xenon white. i went with xenon white for both the side markers and the bumpers, and they look great with my luminics pure blue headlights. check out www.scionxfactor.com, theyre a cheap and easy way to make the lighting on your xA look a lot cleaner and better. ill post pics one of these days. does anyone know if anyone makes clear markers for the rear? theyre red stock, and i think theyd look nice cleared out and theyd match the front.
hey zdawg, I can't answer about the rear markers since my '06 doesn't have them, but I was wodering if you had compared the front to the rear. Could they possibly be the same size and be interchangable?
hmm good idea, ill take the stock front ones (since i replaced them yesterday with the clears) and see if they are the same size, and if so then ill order another set. i actually dont think the rear ones are lights, they may just be reflectors?
Could just be reflectors...not sure. Take a quick peek up in the rear bumper to see if there are any wires going to it.
I've gotta take my left front clear marker back out and see if my o-ring is bad because there is moisture in the lens.

theres moisture in the bumper clear marker of yours? where did you get yours from, scionxfactor? ill keep an eye on mine to make sure no moisture gets in. the only bad thing about the markers from them that i noticed is that the ring seems pretty cheap.
yeah, the rings dont seem to be of great quality. what bulbs did you get? i got the silver bulbs that blink xenon white for both the side markers and the bumper markers. they look really nice with the luminics pure blue bulbs i have in the headlights
So which rings are you talking about? Thought you were talking about the o-rings, but I read your 9:45am post again and it sounds like your talking about something on the marker that you got.
I got the silver that lights amber. That way if a cop tries you hassell, then I can say sit and spin buddy because it's no doubt 100% legal.
So you liking the luminics pure blue?.....I was thinking about either the pure blue, ultra white, or titanium white.

what exactly are o-rings? i was talking about the spongy rings along the outer edge of the lenses, the one that make them sit flush. yeah, i have the silver bulbs with amber too just in case i get hassled about it, although i dont think i will. and i love the luminics pure blue, it adds a great touch and they look great with the clear bumper marker and side markers
Ah, I know what you're talking about....those gasket like things.
An o-ring is kinda like a rubber band that seals stuff up. See if this link works...if not just google o-ring and click images.

Not sure if the rear bumper xB light fits or not, but this might be of some use to you zdawg. He's selling a clear rear bumper light for an xB.
