Default Exhaust tip question

I really dont like the stock exhaust tip because you can see the real muffler tip inside the chrome tip (I hope that made sense). Anyways, I was wondering if I got a new tip welded on, could you still see the ugly muffler tip inside it?
Heres a pic of what Im trying to describe:

This is the tip Im interested in:

Thanks for the help!

Yes, you would still see the stock tip inside, mainly because most add-on tips are just for looks and not meant to be used as a real exhaust tip.

You can ask a muffler shop to cut off the tip inside and weld the new one on, but then your exhaust will sound slightly louder then before.

Thats where I would come in. :D

If you want a muffler where everyone can see it shine with the tip; than I would recomend the PrecisionMuffler.com Auto axle back for your viewing pleasure. High ground clearance and a Stainless Steel shine that lasts forever. A perfect bolt one and a low tone that can't be beat. :D

I got my tip installed this morning...

It is the same one as above, and doesn't look like the pics on the site show, but oh well.
He sawed the stock tip off, and welded this one on. No noticable change in sound. Installation was 15 bucks, and the tip was 31 bucks w/shipping.

I know this is a VERY OLD post but I had an exhaust tip question and instead of starting a new thread, it seemed reasonable to post under this topic.

Anyway, the tip on my xA isn't centered, hanging a little to the left. Have any of you noticed this on your xA?

If your tip isn't centered it's an easy fix. Loosen up the clamp in front of the muffler, center the tip and retighten. Should stay centered.
The xBs were just as bad as the xA when it came to un centered tips.
