Default IST grill question

Okay, I just ordered this from a guy on eBay...and he said it will fit an 06. Anyone have any experiences with this grill? From searches on the site,I know earlier model years won't fit the 06, but I am not sure what to look for...

I couldn't help myself when I saw the badge...

And if it doesn't fit...well, I will have a nice xA grill for sale...LOL

You might have to trim a little bit on both bottom of the grill ,slight angle difference. The 05 and the 06 XA does have a little different angle. You might just have to cut about 1/4 to 1/2 inch off the bottom corners to make the difference. It should not be hard to cut. Just have a Dremel tool ready. Nice grill!

I also have just recieved the RS.1 XA grill from Japan and have tried pre-installed it. Yes there is a slight differece. I cannot cut the grill now to make it fit, waiting on a bodykit also from Japan so that I would not have to cut it. Ooooops the Cats is out of the box!

you're deffinately gonna have to modify, how much I don't know but basically the guy who sold it to you fibbed. It doesn't straight fit an 06, if you do end up cutting or whatever please post up pics. And hey check out www.xatuner.com all the xA guy/gals gather there and share info.

Psycho that's kinda what I figured...I only have about a hundred bucks in it shipped, so I thought it's worth trying, anyway. As long as it's a little cutting here a little shaving there, I'm okay...I'll keep y'all posted after it gets here.

Lots of trimming and grinding is all it takes. No one here has it yet on an XA. It came out pretty good. Pls. take "Snake" that I said "Hi". I know that he has another project car to do. Can't wait to see it on Singapore "ist" sight.

AARRRGGGHHHH!!! Darn you jgriff.....I was going to get that off ebay, but forgot about when it ended and missed it by like 15 minutes. I'm one of those that people hate who bids with like 5 seconds left.

As a matter of fact, I'm so heart broken over missing it that it's still in my watched items. Just not enough gumption to delete it yet. So now that you've already won it , you gotta tell me what your max bid was. I was looking at about 97.79 as my last minute bid.

I've never liked hacking on parts to make them fit, so I guess it's all good that I didn't get it anyway.
