Has anyone had any problems with the Karr security system? First my passenger door wouldn't lock or unlock with the remote, then the driver's door had the same problem, and now all four doors are affected and the only thing that locks and unlocks with the remote is the trunk! The red light is on permanently but I can manually lock and unlock the doors with the key and the alarm does not activate. Other than the red light, the whole system appears dead.

When the first door broke, I took the Xa to the dealership and they told me it was the motor mechanism in the door and quoted me $600 to fix it! Had that been the only failure, I could have bought a new system for less. But obviously the problem is more complicated than that.

Has anyone experienced these kind of problems with the Karr security system on their Xa and if so, how did you get it fixed?
