I have searched any it seem the choice of CF hoods for the ist is slim. I need a hood, dont know whats with motor fx site, and dont really trust various cf hood sellers. Help is apprecited.

i have the VIS Racing carbon fiber hood and it is fantastic! the best deal around is from www.fastscions.com. I got mine from Joe over there. He is the man. He has been trying to get ahold of motor-fx for me for a long long time and he has not recieved any response from them. But if you want i can post pics of mine. It says under the hood it is for the 03 and up ist and i have a 2006 Xa.

 

get it from bbist.com they make the best cf hood for the xA

vis is hit and miss, ask anyone with more then one bit of product by them, no quality controll.

 

agree 100% about VIS. My VIS hood fitment is sketch at best. My buddies Corolla VIS hood is BAD

 

I have heard that no one with the VIS xb hood liked it. Mine and my buddies VIS hood came out perfect, but the quality control is bad since we just got lucky to have a perfect hood come from them, since A lot of people are un happy with VIS. I had forgot about the BBist hood. It is very very nice, double sided too I believe.

Ive seen BDiddys hood, and frankly i was suprised that it was almost perfect, there was a little mark on it... but you can expect that with any CF hood... your not going to get one that is perfect... but when i do buy my hood, im going to go through VIS...

IllNist would you be able to tell me how much the hood cost with shipping.

I checked out bbist.com and didn't come up with anything in regards to shipping charges. Hopefully they don't charge..haha...but that seems too good to be true!

 

I dont remember, it was a long time ago... however shipping to Indiana would be way different then someone in the same state like you anyway.
