Question about factory spoiler?
I dropped off my car last Friday at the dealership to have the factory spoiler installed on my 05 phantom gray xA. They screwed up, ended up installing an 06 flint mica spoiler on it and since the holes were already drilled, I had to wait til they could order a new one in my color. Anyway, they sent the part to a bodyshop to be painted for free cause they couldn't find one in phantom gray.
So I got the car back but I noticed there is a middle panel behind the tail light on the underside of the spoiler that isn't painted. Its a gray color but it doesnt have the gloss finish of the paint or anything. I'm wondering if someone could tell me if this is normal or if they screwed up again and I should bring it back to be painted. If someone could post a pic of the underside of their spoiler that would be great.

Take it back and make them do it right. It sounds like they did a very poor job. I would insist on a factory painted version--I am sure you paid top dollar for the spoiler.
Some of these dealers are just plain highway robbers...mine gave me the runaround after they installed a very cheap alarm system that didn't even work right (and charged me for Scion Security). Make alot of noise, they know Scion is going to bombard you with surveys soon. They will make it right.
Here is a pic (hopefully it works) of the area I am questioning. At this point I probably will demand a new factory painted one and hopefully get some money back for all the trouble.
Even after it was finally painted, they forgot to paint the 2 panels on the top of the spoiler that cover where it attaches to the car so I had to leave it overnight. This will be the 4th time I'm bringing the car for a simple spoiler installation.
