Restoring headlights/New ones

Default Restoring headlights/New ones

I'm debating on getting new stock headlights for my '05 xA cause the ones I have are cloudy and ugly. I've already done all the DIY kits and they never last more than a month.

Does anybody know if getting them "restored" at a dealership ($90) is worth it? Or do I just spend the extra $100+ and get new ones? Anyone been to a dealer to get this done to their head lights before?

if you do new ones do not get the aftermarket depo headlights they have hot spots galore... if you can find some OEM headlight housings! you'll be a happier person if you do

Thanks for the advice jct. and thanks for all the other posts you do, I've noticed you imput a ton.
By the way I found a Mazda dealership by my place that does headlight restoration for $90 with a life time warranty (Toyota/Scion dealership only had 2 yr warranty.) I'll post before and after pictures when I can so people know if doing the dealership route is worth it.

i went with new head light housing when my body shop went with depo replacement housing

granted i paid 400 dollars for OEM headlights off of ebay... totally worth it in the long run!

replacing my stock drivers side w OEM headlight housing on 06xB...any advice in removing the old clouded one?..from the looks of it the drvers side fender has to come off or from what I gather the front bumper has to come off or reach through the fog lamp area..silly question but can't the lens be replaced? I see the clips but it acts like a sealed unit...there's got to be an easier softer way eh...TIA

the lenses have to be baked off...

found a new replacement for my 06 @$59 w/free shipping....now if I could only figure the easiest way to remove.replace it.

you have to remove the bumper. that should take you about 10 minutes or less to remove
