Smoke + HID's?
You should just be able to aim them down a little to reduce glare for others. My experiences with HIDs are that if you want them, you want to blind other people!
You're one of those rare breeds!
I'm actually on the other end. I want smoked headlights, foglights, and tail lights. And I wanted to know if HID's will help light shine through the smoke and maybe have an equal-to-stock light output.
Should work!

Actually after thinking about what you personally wanted, instead of smoking the the headlights you could just paint your silver relfectors black and whatnot, so therefore your not actually loosing any lighting power, just a black backround on your headlights and no legal issues as well
absolutely no...it's kinda a bummer...spend money for better visibility and then smoke em....Im really thinking of removing the front tints....but do what you think is best.
I ended up going the cheaper way with my lights.... I got the Silverstar lights by Sylvania ....they definately brighter than the stock lamps....but I still am thinking of doing a hid conversion in the future
