Well this was with the stock grill So why I would not go open without any grill at all

I actually went and picked it up personally I live about 45min away

Got the paint today. I will be painting the whole thing red and the mesh black. then I will see how it looks

Default UPDATED PICS!

KK,

I saw that without clear coat the paint is just off. But not that much.

Here are some samples of the grill so far without clear coat/painted mesh and a partial fit to the car

See the huge difference real paint makes rather than PS editing? Much better and I can sort of imagine the mesh there as well now. After this all I will need is my JDM KS 06 lip kit

Thanks Kahuna,

Well right now I am thinking of taking it to a shop to get it finished. I applied clear coat and maybe I put too much or something but it's not really looking smooth. More sandy grain when it reflects the light.

I have already done allot of fabrication and such so I think they can just paint it nice and coat it right. We shall see

I also don't really feel right about the way it looks "without" the JDM KS lip kit. It looks a bit unfinished. We shall see.........

NICE! let me know how much they charged you for paint cause I need to start getting estimates. I mess up the job. Last job I overdid it this job I under-did it

Hopefully?? mmmm, you better call em and get a price. They can say anything now. not good. Unless you know them and have a decent relationship though.

Just to note, my hood cowl was $160. This grill needs ALLOT of bondo or shaping before it's primed and painted.

the grille looked fine to me when i took it out of the box. i'll see how much they charge me to install it. if i think it's too much then i'll just return the grille for a refund and save this mod for later.

Um, just an update. I went nuts and bought a whole bunch of JDM stuff. So my front grill is on the backburner as I have switched to the IST logo

So I might sell the grill ......

i don't mean to be stupid but i don't know what open stle means...

that price was to paint the grill 3q3 - salsa red. i didn't like the idea of paintin it black. actually they're even going to paint the mesh red too. i just need to get my hands on some more mesh so the bottom opening can be replaced to match the grill.
