The above was incorrect info...my bad...for some reason I assumed you had a DEI alarm. Use the diagram that comes with your manual.

Does the engine try to crank at all?

hood pin's good,
All my connection's are connected, starter relay done as it is in the manual.
Tachless mode on....

nothing

the light relay blinks showing it's trying and then the doors lock telling me the start failed.

Literally. Lights blink and nothing happens.

I found on Scytek's website the "companion" diagram program that has some 4000 different vehicles in it including mine.

the only discrepancy I found in my wiring and that guide is it says for 12v constant it should be White/Blue & White/Black polarity + at the ignition harness.

There is no White/black at the ignition harness....at all.

So could my problem this entire time be that one of my power wires is connected to the wrong spot? and if so where is this + white/black wire in my car that magically carries something other then ground?

Sorry I havent looked online for awhile. I installed the 1000rsm system on mine though, I have manual trans. Did you order your system through Alarmtek? If you did and got the wiring directions from them, one wire connection point is wrong.

No, I didn't order it through Alarmtek. The wiring diagram I have is just the one that came with the start, and then this one I found on there website.

I really just don't know what's wrong with it.

Alright well it's not the starter kill, I found that my clutch bypass relay was a 14v spst relay, which is really gonna do me a lot of good for something that HAS 12 VOLTS. I replaced that and wired it up again thinking it was the problem.

Still I get nothing. At this point I'm sure its the clutch bypass. It would make sense, the engine isn't even cranking, also when I checked it with a multi-meter the relay isn't bridging polls 30 and 87, which leads me to believe that I'm doing something wrong with the relay
I've replace to 14v one for a 12v SPST relay wired as so:
86]-----Output to remote start (labeled as ground status for clutch bypass)
85]-----12v constant on ignition column (white with red stripe)
87]-----one side of the clutch button
30]-----the other side of the clutch button

If anyone sees something I don't please, PLEASE help me.

Didnt know you were doing man. trans install. Try this so as to eliminate the possibility of clutch relay problem. Unplug connector going to the clutch switch and jumper the wires together temporarily. Try it that way at the least to see if that helps. I jumped mine together permanently, but I don't like having to push the clutch in to start the car anyways.

Well I've held the button down when trying to used the remote start, (effectively making the bypass) and still no dice. I've also jumped the wires together on the relay, but still no dice.

Alright. At this point I'm desperate.

I've called every automotive dealer/installer in town and NONE of them will even look at it for me. I am absolutely at my wits end with this. If anyone can offer any assistance at all please help me.

I just can't figure it out.

Do you have a multimeter? If you do, hold the clutch pedal in (or short the clutch wire) and check to make sure the module is sending voltage to the starter/ignition wires when you try and remote start it.

I'm pretty sure that the xA doesn't have an immobilizer...but just for the heck of it leave the key in the ignition (just put it in...don't need to turn it) and try and remote start it.

Let me know what you get, and we can go from there.

Ok so when I check the voltage on the starter wires from the remote start going to the car starter wire and I get....nothing....
thats not good. When I tried it with out the remote start I got 0 to ~12/14.
This sounds like a problem.

Its somewhere to start I guess...you kinda confused me though...

you get nothing from the remote start to the starter wire...but then you remote start and you get 0 to 12/14? that didn't make sense to me.

in any case, make sure you have a "really good" connection like no cold solder joints...

Sorry I guess that is confusing:
When I just start the car normally (sans remote) with the key I get 12/14. I'm going to go check all my main power connections now.

Well all of my connections are good, from what I can tell they all show connectivity.
I pulled the unit box out of my car and pried it apart to see if there was maybe something damaged or a cap blown but it all looked good.
I guess I could connect Both main power wires to the battery and see if that makes a difference.

Is there anyway I just have a bad unit?
Or someway I'm just overlooking an obvious error in my wiring?

I have seen and experienced bad/defective units before...different brand though. So it is a possibility...

When you checked the voltage to the ignition/starter wires where did you check? Check them at the alarm first...if everything is good there check the relay and make sure the voltage is going through your relay (i have encountered relays that were bad before)...then check the voltages closer to the ignition

Check your fuses too (don't just look at them...check with a multimeter...i've had fuses that looked ok but actually weren't)...i've accidentally popped fuses by leaving them in while installing the units...

I checked the starter wires both at the slice and at the kill relay I put in. I've removed the unit for now and I will check all my connections again today. I haven't had a chance to do anything with it since Monday. I've got some test that are eating up my time.
When I put the unit back in I'll check every possible connection to see if they have continuity at all. And just because I don't like the wire I taped into the 50 amp line I think I might move that to go straight to the battery like I have done with the other one. Completely voiding any question as to weather or not it's getting power.

Ill post again sometime later today with my results.

if its a slytek alarm with the cam rem start for manuall trannys(if urs is a manual tranny) u have to prep the start before u can remote start that means
turn the car on
close the door,
hook up the ebrake wire,
engage the ebrake wire,
remote start the vehicle
take the keys out of the ignition
open the door and get out
close the door.

if u hooked everything up right the car should stay on until u close the door and that will prep it so when u remote start it it will remote start and if u have manual tranny u need a relay to bypass the clutch oh yea on most scions theres 2 starter wires one can just kill but they need 2 for start i did a slytek in a mustang not too long ago for my shop pretty confusing but was a pretty cool alarm and i added push start button on my ride so i know about the 2 starters
