Can anyone tell me how I can rig the light in the auxiliary box that goes on when the doors are open, to stay on all the time or at least when the dash lights are turned on?

Get to the wires and cut them...then run a power/ground to an ACC power source...like the radio's ACC power.

 

...then if you want to you can put a switch on the power to turn it on and off when you like.

 

Would the oven box light be a good tap for powering two short ccfls for the foot well to light them up when opening and closing doors? I think that would be a cool and cheap mod with the use of a few tap connectors.
