Man, im so damn tired of people dissing my Xa. Wth is their problem. I love my Xa so damn much. but non Xa owners see it as "ugly" I can't wait till i lower my Xa and put a body kit on it, then it'll be sexy-er.

Anyone else have this problem? Or am i just sorrounded by douchebags?

hate to say it, but if it makes you feel any better, I know a couple of guys who were thinking of selling their xb's and getting xA's. You don't have too much competition in some areas at shows. The last show I went to there were three xA's. Who cares about them idiots anyway, you like your car so forget about what people say.

 

I get compliments on my xA all the time. I often find people standing by my car checking it out in parking lots.

 

If you got your xA to please other people, it seems it's not up to the job. OTOH, if you got your xA because it pleases you, don't worry what they think of it.

 

I vote for the douchebag theory.

With a drop and some tint the xA looks 100% better, and I love the way the look stock.

I bought my car because I liked it, not because everyone else did, and I actually get lots of compliments about it, drop it, makes a world of diff. in the appearance.

I love the xA. My friend always gets compliments on his. I think it may be the only one in town. He's always asked "is that one of them High Birds?" This is Mississippi.

And yeah, the lowering makes a big diff....a rack looks good on them too.

So, I vote that you're surrounded by gender-specific hygeine products.

 

The guy who owned the first trabant probably thought it was ugly but cool. Unfortunately once they went mainstream they ended up not being cool either . I dont suppose the Xa will ever become a big hit, so just enjoy the cool factor of being different.

I have the same problems....I drive by people and they hare to stare at my car.

Then at work, I hear my car is junk and always make fun of it. Like at one point when my company was opening our new warehouse; we were required to use propane gas Toyota Forklift trucks not our typical Toyota electric battery trucks. These forklifts have the same size 4 cylinder engines as the xA. So everyone at my work were saying "Think about it Andrea; we're driving your car around the warehouse and getting the same gas milage." I just thought "Shut up!" and few other words.

Let's be honest, they are just plain jealous...cause they are just uncommon and hard to get. lol I saw this tC license plate in town "2MUCH4U" so I'm thinking of getting this "2RARE4U."

 

Only owned it a week before getting the first compliment. I expect more to come. I suppose others either like it, don't care, or are nice enough to keep their mouths shut.

 

This is my thinking...
My xA most likely cost less than their car!
It is probably more fun than their car!
It gets better gas mileage than their car!
It'll be worth almost as much used as what I paid for it new!

Their words are cheap and useless. Your extra cash in your pocket is not!

It's sad that people often hate what they don't understand. Just know that you always have us to fall back on when society lets you down. Just enjoy your xA the best you can and forget what others say because it's usually the opposite of what they really think.

 

My car turns more heads then any of my old cars (money pits) I used to rock. I was looking at the SI hatch or the xA. I got the xA cause there is more potential in a car that you dont see 578678689789 of every day. The more you do to them the more the heads will turn. Even the small things pop when modding these things.

 

You guys really get worked up over this stuff. I love my xA... but, um... it's just a car, guys.

Who cares what anyone else thinks... if you really bought a car to impress other people, then YOU have issues you need to work out.

If you don't love the scion, you are going to insult it, diss it, whatever you want to call it. You guys do this all the time with the vw/chevy/anythingelse bashing. You guys seem to forget, that when you bash another brand, someone ELSE thinks that brand/car is cool, and you aren't making them feel great about their purchase either.

So why is turnabout not fairplay?

Grow up. Get over it. Enjoy the car you picked out for YOU, and no one else.
