Default Close up pics of Black Sand Pearl color?

I'm getting ready to purchase a 06 XA within the week or so. I wanted gloss black but I haven't been able to see a BSP XA in person yet. Does it have a metalic hint to it or is it solid black? Any close up pics of the paint in the sun? Im wanting the 5 speed with side air bags and I have found some in white, silver, blue and red on the lot right now, I can get a black one in about 2 weeks. Just want to make sure the black is worth the wait.

Thanks in advance.

i dont think any pix are gonna do it justice, the pearl is a very shimmery mettalic silver and looks awesome in the sunlight.

I'm pretty sure I will like the BSP, I looked at a XA in the Flica color and liked it untill i got a look at it in the bright sun light. The dealer said the BSP XA will arrive in about two weeks, gives me a little time to look at wheels ect.

Thanks,

I bought an '05 BSP and am loving it...here in Phoenix in the summertime, it can even look a little green or blue. The BSP looks absolutely beautiful cleaned up and shining...I put gunmetal 18" rims on it and I get compliments all the time. Definitely go with the BSP it's worth the wait.

Thanks, I'll wait for the BSP. Should only be a couple weeks. I also like the white color when they are lowered and tinted, Still like the black best though. I want to get tint right away and then wheels. Not to sure yet on what wheels I'll end up with. I've driven a VW rabbit diesel pickup for the last 6 years so I'm looking forward to getting the Scion and having a modern car. Thanks,

It's definitely not "gloss black"

There's a good amount of sparkle and pearl to the paint. At certain angles people have told me my car looks dark gray.

the first picture captures the actual texture pretty nicely. That's what it looks like when you get up and look at it up close, standing farther away it just looks like a really glossy black.

Thanks for the info and pics. I love black cars and I'm sure that this one won't dissapoint. It will be two weeks before I can pick it up , oh well good things come to those who wait. I'm thinking maybe TRD springs, shorty antenna, tint and wheels. Not exactly sure what wheels but I'm thinking something 16" black with a polished lip??? Great site, looking forward to being an active member on the board.
