Dealer Fees?
I went to the Scion dealer to get a drive out price on a Scion xA with the options I want. Everything is the same as the price when you build the xA on Scion's website (same MSRP and Handling/Processing Fee) except the taxes and extra fees.
The tax was 6.25% as expected.
However, there was another section called Total Fee/Options for $182.05.
I assuming this is the tax, title, and whatever extra fees they tack on.
Does $182.05 sound right for extra feels beyond the MSRP, Dealer/Processing/Handling, and taxes, or is this too expensive?
Thanks.

Yea man, some dealers down here try to rip people off big time. A certain dealership a guy i knew worked at was charing people about 2000$ for dealer fees. That is so stupid. I think i paid around 180$ when i got my car
No, I didn't get any mats or anything that wasn't in the website price. As far as I know, there is nothing extra.
I assumed the $182 was for license and title and maybe some dealer documentation fee. I'll ask the dealer to explain what those fees are before signing anything.
They also said it would take about 4 weeks for an Indigo Ink Pearl Manual. He said there were two destined for Austin which are already on a ship.

I think it really depends on the market. Subcompacts EXPLODED in places like the west coast when all the new models (Fit, Yaris, etc.) came out recently which gave the xA a lot more attention than it had in the past. In the midwest however, most people are still addicted to their trucks/suvs.
I know I'd have NEVER found the xA if I wasn't initally looking at a Honda Fit.
