Dealer options, what's worth it

You just want to be careful when doing after market work because it could mess with your warranty. You don't want to save a coulple dollars on the accessory to find out that your warranty is no longer good. Just make sure you check.

Lowering just a little bit, to get the wheels flat on the ground as opposed to at a slight angle. This is similar to aftermarket rims. In moderation (1-2" lower, on light-weight wheels) it will help performance, but to exess (1/2" off the ground on 20"s) is just for looks. JMO
I deffinately have respect for show cars don't get me wrong, they are just not my style. (That which is subtle can be more powerful) I prefer "Enhaced Stock": What the dealer would have done, if only they had more money to spend on each individual car.

I'm back from my test drive. I hated it. It was the worst car I've ever driven All joking aside, That was the most fun I have ever had driving a car on a street. Peppy, a he(ck) of a lot of pick up. Very responsive steering. The gearbox and clutch felt very nice. It was much roomier than I had feared What can I say, I Love the xA. I'm so Happy. I told myself I wouldn't cry I F(rea)kin' LOVE IT. Way more get-up-and-go than the '02 civic that I drove (I can't say anything about the rest of them, but the Civic I drove was crap).
Thank You all for being so friendly Esp. you Old Man(atee) [when are you gonna give me back my car . It's really not very nice to steal.

I went to one place for my test drive, I knew more about the car I was driving than he did. He didn't even know that PGP was discontinued this year for FM, They even still had RS 2.0 cards in the dealership. Plus the guy was WAY high pressure
HB Scion was not good to me, this is just a personal story tho.

Every time I've gone to test drive, all they've had were manuals. It's been a pain in the butt to try to find a slushbox to compare the two before we decide.
hopefully this weekend will go better!
My dad drove the manual for me (I'm inept but hoping to learn)...he's lurking around on this board somewhere and could probably offer 30+ years of insight behind his opinion...but as far as I know, he was at least marginally impressed.
I can't wait to drive it for myself!

I only have about 9 or 10 years personally, and have only 4 manuals, but I was VERY impressed. I drove a slightly used '94 Escort, a '98 Contour, and a '91 Fox (rebuilt the shift linkage 2x in 10 months) and the xA manual was by FAR the most fun I have had driving on a public road.
*edit* I would like my dad to drive it too, as he also has at least 30 years experience driving stick.(or at least he's had that long since he learned to drive one)

You are more than welcome.....
If you are impressed with the way it handles now, wait til you get some low profile tires! And from what I hear, dropping it a tad makes it even better!
I have driven a stick since 1976 and the slushbox xA was so much more fun to drive than any stick, I had to have it. Besides, my left leg was getting tired.

oh, I plan to be putting a deposit down after my test drive, if not purchasing that day due to color or transmission availabilities. But some $$ is going to change hands and I'm going to be well on my way, don't you worry
