1. I guess I usually shift somewhere between 3300 and 3800 RMP. I'm not real worried about speed. I'd rather get decent gas milage and not beat my car.

2. Hmmm..not sure. It shouldn't hurt to get a little water in there. If it sounded different, maybe you got too much. *shrugs*

3. These arent the smoothest shifting cars on the planet. Mine can be notchy sometimes. If you think it's unusual, take it in and let them check it.

Good luck keeping an xA at 2000 RPMs. I think you'll be over that in 5th gear at 40 MPH!

I've always heard that you'll get better milage with the windows up and the A/C on. Windows down creates a lot of drag and destroys the aerodynamics of the car.

3rd to 4th 3000-3500rpm
4th to 5th 3500-4000rpm (sometimes higher merging onto the freeway)

I cruise 80mph doing around 4000-4300rpm
It seems awfully high but these little engines appear to be designed for it. Kinda like older European cars.

AC fullblast hasn't noticably effected my milage or performance.

As far as H2O in your muffler; Unless your tailpipe is submerged, I wouldn't worry about it. You catalytic converter creates H2O in small amounts. It will drip out when the engine is cold.

1. I shift around 4k....cruise around 3k-3250
2. A little water is fine, just don't do an experiment to see just how much you can force in there before you have a glorified water cooler.
3. Notchiness is expected from these tranny's. If you think it's excessive then go by and visit your dealer. Make them test drive it for a few miles around the city and then ask if you can also drive a new one on the lot (if there are any) to compare yourself.

1 I think most of us agree on the shifting around 3500 to
4000, unless you need to hurry up onto the freeway.
I usually cruise around 3000 i think. I never really pay
attention to when I'm cruisin' because it's very rare haha

2 don't have an answer on that one

3 mine has started doing that recently as well, didn't start till
i got to around 18000 miles. yes i have an 06 with 21000
miles on it already (i got it in august of 05)
