even when I select the feet vents, my face vents still blow. it's not a huge deal but I'm wondering if this is a xa defect or is mine just out of adjustment maybe?

The side vents will always expell air even when you put it on feet, I also thought this was a problem but I soon realized that was the eay it was designed.

If you are getting air out of the center vents on all settings, including the defrost mode, the you have an issue.

 

Bingo. I thought it was odd too, but the Corolla I had as a loner yesterday did the same thing.

 

it will stop if you move the air flow to recirc and not the fresh outside air....
