I'd trust myself to installing a set of pedals before I trusted the intelligence of the service techs here at Peruzzi.

Install them yourself.

Because I can and money isn't problem. And I also believe something like that should be installed by professional since if they aren't installed correctly....I can't stop which means no pay of $60.00 installation charge could equal thousands of dollars.
LOL they are going to charge you 60 dollars LABOR to install those .. UNREAL .. for something that would take someone with even 1/4 of a brain 5 minutes to do ...

its not a matter of being able to pay them .. hell im pretty sure 90% of us could pay to have them installed ... BUT WHY .. do you honestly think that the clowns at the dealer are going to be any more skilled at installing these then you would be ?

have you even looked at the installation instructions for the pedals ... it consists of ....

taking off OLD BRAKE AND CLUTCH pedal .. which is just a piece of rubber on top of metal .. that pulls right off .. you wet the inside of the new pedal/pedals (if you have auto .. its just the brake) ... and you slide them over where the old ones used to be ... the GAS pedal goes on top of the exisiting gas pedal..

and you are going to pay someone 60 dollars for that ? ... that just makes NO sense at all ...

and another thing .. you said you were concerned for safety ... the pedal covers could COMPLETELY FALL OFF and you would still be able to drive the car

i think you are under the impression that they are replacing the whole PEDAL ASSEMBLY .. when all they are doing is replacing the PEDAL COVERS that slide over the metal pedal assemblies

It's not your car, it's not your money so why are you lecturing me about getting it installed. I'm not going to F up my car or my warranty so I can save 60.00 bucks.

suit yourself LOL ...

you are right .. its not my money ... i would never be so foolish as to pay 100 dollars for something i can buy for 30 bucks online and install myself in 5 mins...

and as far as voiding warranty .. cmon .. be serious ... IT IS IMPOSSIBLE for you to screw the car up .. all you are changing is PEDAL COVERS .. little rubber pieces.. you are in NO WAY messing up anything having to do with the gas/brake

but if you choose to get ripped off instead of actually LEARNING something about your own car .. .fine by me LOL

I am sorry but seriously, other than floor mats, pedal covers have to be one of the easiest things to install. Although it can be a pain in the a$$ sometimes making that little rubber lip fit around the pedal. But hey you can't have a good looking car without a little sweat and tears.

around 8700 miles my odometer reset itself to 0 and then got up to 3 miles and stopped counting completely. the computer wasnt displaying the numbers correctly, but the correct numbers were in the cars memory so they ordered me a completely new gague cluster and computer, and burned the correct mileage into the new computer so that i can sell my xa without odometer fraud

Armor-all has a petroleum solvent in it that accelerates dryrot. DO NOT use Armor-all products on anything really, especially your dash. I actually used nothing on my dash, and yet it cracked. Beats me.

I had no issues getting them to replace mine. If you have any problems, try another dealership.

I haven't had any repairs yet.

I keep breaking one of the rear seat release ***** (second time but that's my fault), the rubber seal between the windshield and the plastic cover over the wiper motors (really no idea what it's called) has come out twice, and the release handle for the hatch is not working right now.

Only maintenance is the obvious oil change
Replaced the front breaks--was told the rear will need to be changed soon.
Looking for a new set of tires in the next 3-4 months.
I had the 15k and 30k maintenance packages completed, another month or two I'll have the 60k done.

So basically, normal maintenance after 51,000 miles and nothing significant or worth while REALLY making a deal about. Oh yeah, I've had the car since 07/03/2004

Aug 06 77 miles changing oil at 100. Although this isn't a repair problem but the front bumper passenger side is not hook on (just one small hook under the headlight) and fitment is protruded by 5mm and passenger side A piller cover has ~5mm fitment issue near roof liner so you can slot in quarters into the A piller loL

I've now noticed a noticable, but faint grinding noise in the front end. Sounds like a bearing, or bearings. LOVELY.

Chalk up something else on the list to have done when the dash is replaced.
