this dash thing seems to be an 06 issue, I hadn't heard anything about cracking dashes until they came out... hmmm maybe a recall is needed?

Perhaps. Where would I go to log such a complaint to help initiate a recall?

17,900 miles (will hit 18K tomorrow), purchased February 2006. Had the check engine light come on in late May.. took it into the dealership and they found something they'd been seeing in a couple xA's (yet nobody here has mentioned it?). I can't remember exactly what it was (maybe should get the paper).. but they said something about whatever the problem is causing an emissions leak.. or something. (Maybe I'll go get that paper in a bit.) Anyway, I had that fixed under warranty.. then for some reason one of the driver's side vents came undone. It couldn't be snapped back together so I had to take it in so they could remove the whole dash and replace the unit. Just had that done today.

Otherwise, I think the only services have been oil changes (I think I used up all my free ones already, had four of them!).

2005 xA RS1

116,000miles as of 5-14-2009

Bought new in 11-11-2004

A/C overflow leaking water into passenger compartment fixed under warranty.

Been through a couple of front pads and rotors by now.

Changed the alternator once and power steering belt twice by now.

Also had to change the TPS due to a check engine light throwing code 0121 and0122 just recently.

Oh and I've gone through some tires too...

07' Xa 3.0 series..16K and only had an ignition coil replaced, the engine light came on and had a misfire code. they replaced it just in case. Lots of dings fixed and bumper painted due to boston crappy parkers. other than that the car has been great! loving the summer fuel blend and back to great gas milage!

'06 with 43k miles. Bought new on 4/20/06.

Dash has been replaced twice due to cracking.
Water pump is weeping, and is scheduled for service soon.
Evap canister replaced under TSB.

Otherwise, no major issues. I can't complain, while I maintain it well, I do drive it pretty hard and autocross it.

Dash itself didn't crack, it was the vinyl coating that did.

No photos, my last dash was replaced over a year ago. It's simple, DO NOT armor-all your dash, or use any cleaning solvent, and you'll be just fine.

Bought my 06 new just over 3 years ago, it just went over 40K, and not one problem yet.
