Lift Springs for the 2006 xa

Lift Springs for the 2006 xa
The ride is too bumpy though - so lift springs seem to be the right answer, but are there even any out there that would work for the XA?
Has anyone put lift springs on? In LA it sits so low that it hits all the high curbs (when opening the car door) and we have troubles getting over speed bumps. Not to mention my 200 lb husband gets knocked clear out of his seat on the freeways.
Thinking of putting some monroe's in the back to help with the ride too - but we'd still like the car to sit higher.
Thanks!

well, if you got the trd struts, then they would be all around. unless you got ripped off. if you want a firmer less bouncy ride, you should get the lowering springs, they are only about a 1 inch drop, but they are firmer. also if you want to firm up the side to side motion, get sport sway bars.

Agreed on the first point, I would cry harder than a thousand native americans seeing trash on the highway.

Going high will mean many $$$s in suspension changes and may not even work right. Add the Monroe 5987s
And why might it fail?
All I know is we'd like a smoother ride & would rather have the car sit higher (not monster truck, but at least enough to clear the curb when openning the car door). Lift springs seems to be the answer - cheaper than replacing the struts as I understand it....But then again - I dont know much about suspension which is why I am on here asking ;)
Since no one seems to have personal experience w/ this - any suggestions as to what kind of place/where to go (in the LA area if you know) to have someone figure out how to do this kind of thing?
THANKS!

Wouldn't that make you feel every bump in the road even harder?

Why would you want the springs to be firmer(stiffer)?

OK - so the problem is we hit a bump & get knocked out of our seats, wind knocked out of us... but there is not a single "aftershock" of bouncing afterwards.. its just one hard hit. That is what I want to get rid of - which I _think_ is what the softer springs will help w/

I was responding to the person that said to get "firmer" springs. Wondering why they suggested that.
The suspention is already stiff enough, I know when I get the money I'm upgrading the suspention to get a smoother ride.
