Multiple alarms or better alarm system?
I wanted the oem rks system for the xa soo bad, got it, installed it and am rather disapponted that it only detects a certain glass hit tone and alarms when a door is opened or the panic button is pressed. I had hoped it had a vibration sensor so a bump or a loud motorcycle would set it off, plus the key fob turned on the parking lights or start the engine.
I met a girl at work who has a camry who has a viper system and the oem system. Seems they work ok together and she uses the oem one to open and drive the car, the viper to let her know if anyone is messing with the car and to start it.
What I would want is to lock and unlock the doors, detect vibrations or a bump, turn on the lights, maybe roll down all 4 windows and maybe start it. The starting oiption is optional.
I had a neighbor turn on his drls on his suv the other night I checked my mail and walked by his unit. I wouldnt mind beable to turn on my parking or fogs for the same reason if I hear a noise outside.
So, is their an alarm that does this? What about the kits at auto zone? What about dual alarms? Thanks.

You're going to want to do a custom alarm install, find someone you know that can do it. If you were closer to me, I'd be willing to help you out. You are going to need a high-end alarm that has a factory alarm disarm input wire, in order to maintain the ability to open (when it is unlocked with the factory key-fob) your doors without the aftermarket alarm going off. You're also going to need this same alarm to have multiple accessory channels, a bunch of automotive relays, and the module (two of these modules for all four windows, I suggest just two, no point in all four..front two windows is fine) to control the windows. All in all, you're looking at around 900-1100 installed. Depends on who does it, and how good the quality is on the alarm you buy. If you need any questions answered on what exactly you're going to need, I can look into it if you want. Just PM me.
Good luck!
Good luck!
Thanks, seems a bit more than I was expecting to spend and work. I think I may pick up the kit of auto zone and use it to turn on my fogs and lay on the horn. Either way I would have two key fobs.
Well, not true on two fobs. I use the key without the keyfob in it, whereas I think the xA didn't have a key with a fob in it. Aftermarket alarm, one fob. You wouldn't have to use your factory alarm keyfob, as many times there's a factory alarm disarm output which would disarm your factory alarm.
