Hi! I just bought my xA and I love it. But I'm one of those freaks that cant leave a car well alone. My wife has already added some touches, mostly just some stickers, an air freshener, and an Oki towel (we used to live in Okinawa and its basically just a towel you bought to put on the stearing wheel). The stickers are two flags (american and mexican) and grey dragons on both sides, and a funny little banner that says "Made in Japan" on the back window. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew of any "free" mods. I dont have much money and I need something to thinker with while I save for wheels. I figured out a way to do a cheap ram air, but thats about it. Thanks.

 

what's "free?" You could de-condom the EZ Bake Oven... You could even do it with nothing but your teeth (DAMN SEXY! lol). Um...you could debadge the xA emblem... That's it for free...

For CHEAP...you can make/install ground wires ($5-10), cupholder LEDs ($5-10), Cabin Air Filter ($10 for 4 filters), JDM Antenna ($20)...and if you have a garage opener, you can mod your garage door remote to your high beams like me! I dubbed it the Mikochu Über VIP High Beam Gate Remote.

 

When you de-condom the "oven" thing, what color does it come out to be?

 

Like in a Mustang you can take out the air silencer to gain a couple horses, or in my old Skyline we used to cut and turn the air boxes around for a make shift CAI. What the heck was that oven comment about? Thats it no hp tricks?

 

Dude...it's a Scion xA man...it's never going to be a powerhouse, especially for free.

 

I know, I was just wondering if you guys knew of any tricks that I can do while I save money for some real mods. I know the things not a powerhouse, its obvious when I get in the car and hit the throttle. After driving my 300+ hp Mustang and Skyline, believe me I know. I'm no novice at this stuff, but most cars have a few tricks you can do for a few hp. God, you people are quick to make someone feel bad huh? This board is horrible.

the EZ Bake Oven is the cubby hole that has an orange light, yeah. When I first got the car, everyone wanted to check it out. Every time I opened the car, it'd come on and they'd go "What's that?" and I'd go "That's my EZ Bake Oven...I think the brownies are done..." They'd go "Oh neat" and we'd eat brownies and end it with a Mentos(TM!) Smile...

 

Yup! that's it then... looks like an oven...heheh...

here's how i moded mine with a switch button. Cost me about 10 bucks for the led lights, wires, switch (circular/ pc switch)

How did you change the lighting in the oven? lol that's funny though, ez bake oven. that's exactly what it looks like.

 

If you check out S3X's imagestation album, he added 2 LEDs and a switch to the EZ Bake Oven...The regular light is still there, though..I think...

regular light bulb color... not hyperwhite...but not orange..somewhere in between :D
