Default OIL CHANGE HELP!!!

Hello,
I tried to change oil taday for the first time on my 2006 Scion xA, and i think i drained WRONG oil....
please see the pictures
1. i drained this plug (the oil was red color)

2. I think this is where i have to add oil, because when i take that thing out it shows there is no oil:

So, did i drain transmission fluid or differential one?
What type of oil should i buy and how much to add there?

Im waiting for replies!

yes you drained the tranny fluid i do believe your owners manual will state what kind of oil you'll need and how many quarts...

Well if you drained the tranny oil into a clean pan you could put it back in . . . but you probably didn't? So get to the dealer and get some more Tranny oil - I think you HAVE to use Toyota Tranny fluid. You should be able to fill through the dip stick.

Yeah that last post is the oil plug for the engine oil - counterclock wise just like any plug should unscrew - with wrench towards the front of the car push upwards - they usually get put on WAY TOO TIGHT and then stick.
