search, yes, it is possible, but you can't boost it much. the xa's engine isn't very strong, but they're very cheap.

but yes, you can add a quality turbo kit with engine management to an xa without blowing up the engine. but it ain't cheap.

if ur gonna spend that kind of money for a quality turbo, u might as well have the engine built to handle it. u can pay me now or u can pay me later type of thing. do it right the first time and u wont have regrets about what u shoulda done in the first place.

Any motor could be boosted with minor adjustment like computer and fuel injectors. I don't think it should hold more than 5lbs safely without building the motor. Just be careful and in your case, tuning is key to not blowing the motor.

Agree. I bought my car new, turbocharged it at 15k, and it currently has 70k on it. I have stock internals. I used the Greddy kit and the stock boost on the kit is set at 5-6lbs. Any more than that, the motor may blow.

Be aware, you will have to get a new clutch if you turbocharge it, and possibly an engine damper or better motor mounts. Also, you'll have to spend money to get it tuned at a legitimate shop. I have it tuned conservatively because I don't want to blow anything.
