It actually was quite a downer to read the article in Import Tuner where he even straight up said that all they did was take a kit that was made for a Civic (which, of course, was just a knock off of a JDM kit made for two different cars...different front and rear) and made it fit the xA. That's like just straight up admitting that you don't even care about the design of the kit and how well it flows and works with the car it's going on. I'm a proponent of body kits on Scions, but I don't think I can advocate the use of kits that were just...."made to fit."

I love that bodykit.

I love it so much that I have personally spoken with L.J. Garcia a couple of times about it. I also invited him to come to our Team Scion West meets. He has accepted and he will be bringing the xA with him to show it to us in 2 weeks.

We have 6 xA's in Team Scion West, and quite a few of us are very interested in the bodykit. We are very excited to have this opportunity and we are honored to have someone like L.J. Garcia take time out of his EXTREMELY busy schedule to stop by and visit with us.

LJ, the kit looks great and i remember when your Civic was taking first at the shows. In fact, I covered some of those events for Street Legal Import magazine. Keep up the good work man. :D

Isn't fiberglass, bondo, and primer the finish of choice for most real import modders?

even if you dont care for the body kit, its pretty chicken ____ to talk down on it on the internet. You know you would never put your finger down your throat in front of the owner.

I personally think the kit on the yellow xA looks alright..though not perfect. If the car had wider wheels and larger diameter...it might have looked alot better...the wide body kit over extends too much...but overall...not bad kit....

u gotta give props to people who worked hard on their car whether it's appealing or not...

If someone is willing to spend alot of money and time into modding his ride...u have to respect that ...not love it..but atleast respect.

and by the way...pugs are ugly that it's cute..haha.

well...that's my 2 cents.

Do all conversations that contain negative opinions of a particular car now have to be cleared with the owner first? I doubt that you can hurt the feelings of someone assertive enough to display their car in this way.

The purpose of SEMA is to sell accessories. Any vehicle that catches the eye of the passerby is good SEMA material. SEMA cars aren't the "best of the best", they are the cars that can be completed in time with all the new gee-gaws installed.

In a room full of great paint jobs, a car in primer probably got more than its share of attention! That is the goal!

I really appreciate the guy for attempting a widebody kit on a xA. Even I'm not feelin' the kit and the choice of wheel spec, I'd still give the guy a thumbs up for the obvious hard work put into this project.

I totally agree with Randode.

KingLou: Why don't you come out to LA in 2 weeks and tell L.J. to his face how much you hate it. Be sure to bring those pictures of you at SEMA.

I hear a challenge coming on. Good thing I'm a body gaurd for sale. KingLou, Chesirecat, anyone who accepts this challenge of bringing it to garcias face, let me know so I can get paid. It'll cost you but I won't let you down, I'll just be back up incase anything fun starts. And in the event that something fun does start and I'm not getting paid, you all better watch out cuz I'll be the first one diving in to the showdown.

Hmm.....let's see......cause I don't even own a Scion yet................and going to a meet specifically to tell someone I don't like their car is even more lame than doing it on the internet. It took me 3 seconds to post a picture and a topic on a message board. Going out of my way to a damn meet would suggest I have some sort of deeply rooted moral objection to his body kit, and I have way too much time on my hands. I never said his kit was so ugly I wanted to kick his ___.........I just said it was ugly. Don't like it? Get over it! And don't even try to talk to me about respecting the work that someone put into their car. I respect anyone and everyone when it comes to devoting time, energy, and money to their car........doesn't mean I have to like the results. You wouldn't know the first thing about lack of respect until you own a 1987 240 Volvo that you put hours of time into, and tons of money into..........and nobody but YOU thinks its not ___. I'm used to flak.....and I don't give a damn..........cause as long as I appreciate my car and the work I put into it.......that's all that matters. And everyone here better get damn used to people not liking their cars...........because while we all appreciate and respect Scions............guess what...........there's probably gonna be just as many people if not more that think they look like crap.

Get over yourselves guys.........and lighten the hell up. The thing that needs to be respected here is different OPINIONS. I don't know LJ.......he's probably a great guy. I don't have a damn thing against him. Who knows.......we could be best friends. I still won't like that body kit.

And if anyone sees my beige Volvo on 17" TSW blades parked around vegas (I promise its the only one)...........you're more than welcome to take some unflattering pictures next to it. I promise I won't cry........in fact.........I'll probably laugh........because I don't wear my feelings on my sleeve like some of you. However......if you touch my car..........well.......I won't go into details..........just don't touch my damn car.

I didn't come here to flame. To flame would be to personally attack someone.............I was expressing my discontent with a couple of cars.

i seen where people have said they read the article about it in import tuner. l.j. did state that he doesn't care if people don't like it since everyone has opinions. to come down on someone that has the right to express an opinion is stupid.

Wait till you see my 91 metallic silver ford taurus gl with SHO engine swap, 18" racing hart c5 wheels, 2" cut springs, and white/blue vinyl interior. Then you will know what getting flamed truly is. If only I took steroids, then we'd really have some fun.

I dunno what t- bone comp is. Explain please.

When people go crazy with a ride, they go by what they like of course. It doesn't matter how other people feel. You wouldn't believe the kind of crap people say when they see my taurus parked especially in my bro's high school. They look at the interior and all hell breaks loose. But nobody would ever say ____ to my face because people just don't do that. I don't care what they say behind my back as long as it is not about me personally. And if it is about, then I'll totally go off and they won't be able to speak anymore. j/k But a cars just a car.

I don't care if people bag on this xA either because I was wanna the first to say I don't like the wide body, but the front and rear are nice which is y he sells the kit without the wide flares also. Let everyone talk their mind if they wanna. If one post says crap, no matter how bad, don't get mad, just post what you like about it. I think we all know the kind of work that goes into this but can't we all just get along. We've all put in some hours and to some, Garcia went to far. Kids who are still into ricing will love the xA and then we'll have more people joining the group. You do remember that the majority of scion owners have xB's. Maybe this is just a wake up call for the youths of tomorrow. Then we'll be seeing more of these types and we'll have even more fun topics to bag on/talk about.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but to go online to a Scion forum, post a picture of you standing in front a Scion making gagging motions, and say how ugly it is and how much you hate it....

What did you expect to happen?
