I visited two dealerships, one smaller, one larger. I really liked the small dealership and they treated me well. The large dealership's salesman really had a chip on his shoulder & I didn't like him. He told me the small dealerships wouldn't get any of the rs1 xa and they would all be going to the large dealerships. Anyway, I went back to the smaller dealership and put down a deposit last week and told them to do their best to get me one. Now, I am hoping I didn't screw up by standing by my gut feelings about the dealerships. Is it true? Are only the large Scion dealerships going to get allocated some cars? Or, was he just trying to get a sale?

I dont think the size of the dealer matters. If a dealer puts in a order for a rs 1.0 then the order needs to be filled. The only main thing is that the orders might get filled in the order of first come first served so if your order just now got put in, it might be high on that list. I think the big dealer was just trying to get $. I hope this helps & maybe some one else who knows more about how this stuff works can throw in a word or two.

 

According to my dealer when he spoke with the regional sales rep each dealer will be getting one 1550 are being made and there are aprox 1400 scion dealers in the us. Larger markets/dealers may get more.
