Default Scion xA hits Ford Explorer!

Yesterday my Scion xA ran almost straight into the front of a 2002 Ford Explorer when he turned left in front of me on a busy parkway. I was driving 20-25 mph and he was driving 10-15. I walked out with an minor almost invisible bruise on my knee. I just want to say that the scion xA is damaged really badly, but I am not. My scion xA's radiator was blown, the passenger drive axle was ripped out of the tranny, and the right fender was toasted..but the car protected me. I will have pics and updates soon!

Thanks so much for your concern guys. I am more than anything glad to be standing on firm ground with only a minor bump on my knee. Turn out my scion xA had major unibody damage. The whole front passenger frame was bent over towards the drivers side. Also, the control arm on the passenger side was yanked out of its socket, right through the metal. Finally the strut assembly was bent.

Long story short, the car was totaled. The other guy was 100 percent liable and theyre paying me a little short of 10k. (9800 or something depending on NY state taxes) So basically I break even with my loan.

IT was a sad day..but good to know the scion can take a hit. MY airbags didnt go off...but probably because i was going 20mph and struck in the corner by the SUV. Ill put up pics later.
