Here is what Visual Garage emailed me back with when I asked how i'd be able to take off the fin if I ever wanted to and if it'd harm the paint...

Thanks for your inquiry.
You can remove the sharkfin antenna by applying some heat, and gently but firmly rocking it back and forth until the adhesive looses. It is pretty much the same format as a lot of the door trims found on cars are mounted and are removable. You will need to purchase another adhesive, or have us replace the adhesive gasket in order to use on another car. Make note though, it will have to be another car that is the same, as the curvature on the bottom is different for each car.
