Default Shuddering, brake dive worries

I was slowing down in a parking lot last night and turning left into a spot at the same time when...

the brake pedal started to really shudder like I had activated the anti-lock brakes. It also made an odd metallic noise.

I know this isn't quite normal as it's the first time in 95000 miles that it's happened and probably the 20000th time I've pulled into a parking spot and pressed on the brakes.

Thoughts?

I got the 100,000 mile warranty, so I want to know if I should just bring it in and get it taken care of for Scion/Toyota's dime instead of waiting some time and then finding out it's a repair that will cost me billions.

Help!

IS it modified?? IF the brakes are all stock and you have warranty then I think the answer is pretty obvious. DAMN 95000 Miles???? Where do you drive?

Scion sent me some schwag for being the first xA owner to 100,000 even though I'm not quite there yet.

It is NOT modified except for different wheels in the summer.

I commute 90 minutes each way, have driven to Florida from Boston twice and like to just cruise about.

It's a July 04 xA.

Sounds like you have a pad or shoe worn and the abs came on because it had to make up for a wheel not braking. I can make my car shutter slowing on a cross grade facing down hill like clock work.
