Default some major Ist problems... some resolved, some still remain

hello guys,

i just brought a 04 ist. and am having alot of problems since then....

1) at acc, the engine check light wouldnt show up sometimes... upon checking, the main fuse box in the bonnet marked as "ecu" would alwaz burn up. after replacing several aftermarket fuse, (it wouldnt blow but the plastic on the fuse would melt) .. changed the fuse with a "original" fuse , problem solved

2) car would vibrate from 20-40 speed... after tht would become fine...
happened to be the place where the axel joins the transmission (dunno wat tht place is called) had no greesing on it which had totally worn out tht joint....replaced it , now its smooth.

now the problems which i have still not been able to resolve.

1) on bumps, there is a "tuk tuk" kind of a noise from the front. i have changed all the bushing along with the ball joint , etc but the problem still remains... somtimes when i accelarate and push the brakes, i can hear tht noise... somtimes when i just push my car, i can hear tht noise... but sometimes it completely goes away....
i have almost changed each and every component of my car.... but the problem is still there.

i have my doubts on the lowering springs.... either there is a plastic packing missing which hits the shocker plate and creates the noise , or its not fixed proerly...

2) when i switch on the AC, my rpm keeps jumping from 800 to 400 etc.... the car doesnt switch off but i feel very rough ideal .... also the AC doesnt cool properly because of the falling rpm @ 400 ...

i have already opended and cleaned the whole trottle body , sensors etc...... still the problem occurs.

you got an ist? whats it like to drive on the wrong side of the car?

your noise in the front may be your struts....

and rough idle at AC on is common, there is nothing wrong with your car. also, your AC doesnt "cool properly" because you need to be moving for it to work right. you wouldnt feel nearly as much cold air if your @ idle, then if your traveling @ 40mph.

The ac problem almost sounds like an issue with your MAF sensor.. Like its not sure its getting enough air. Could also be a grounding issue. I had a similar issue, but a grounding kit fixed most of it. Check the tech section on how to make your own.

i have my Big 3 upgrade done on my car.... so i dont think its a problem with the grounding.......... big 3 is connecting all the ground together. (engine + body + battery ground)

big 3 means upgrading alternator charge wire, ground to engine block, and ground to frame

that also includes more than thicker gauge, but also more ground points across engine bay.

this video explains how on a 04 scion xb
