I took a couple of shots of Ronna's XA of some of the work we've been doin under the hood area. Still some stuff left to do but this is where we are at for now. So far so good. Watcha thinkin?? Waiting on the red hoses before I install the Killer Glass that I custom etched for her. Ronna is the accountant for my custom bodyshop here in south Florida so I gotta take good care of her car, or else I am in big trouble. LOL There's still quite a few things planned for the hood area but throw out some ideas if U have em. Hope U likey.

 

I had to make the mirror myself to fit the custom hood scoop. I made the hood for her a couple years ago. Last Friday I cut the piece of polished stainless steel to make the intake cover since we could not find anything to make that area look better. I also polished the brake and oil cap covers as well as the battery tie. They came with a brushed finish. I need to find some clips to hold the hoses for the wiper nozzles. I painted the intake cover when I did the car since the smoke pattern was gonna be tricky. So I wanted to get it all done at one time. The red neon tube is now tucked neatly under the red mirror so now you can't see it from under the hood when opened. I also flipped a piece of the mirror on the back side of the center piece to reflect the light in the hood scoop from the outside. Now it has even more glow outta the scoop. By the way, the scoops were cut from a 1968 Opel GT. The insert was modded out of a TC grill that was left over from a bumper conversion. We still are trying to find a nice lookin oil dip stick.
