Default What a helluva Sunday...(4/27)

I just get back from a 2-week vacation from the Philippines. I'm jetlagged, I'm tired because I' only got 1 hour sleep in a 16 hour flight. On my way from LA to Orange County...I get rear-ended and slightly bump the 07 dark grey (PGP?) xA in front of me. Minimal damage to them, but boy...did I ever get whacked.

Oh man, it's never good to see another xA down for the count.

At least you're alright, though.

Yeah I'm good, a bit stiff and sore, but I'm going to see a physician later today. The damage was extensive enough that she'll never be the same again.

She was the first new car I bought so she holds a special place in my heart.

Thats what prompted me to get a bike carrier for my curtis hitch on my xa. Theres nothing back there than the plastic molded bumper.

Guessing you are ok, hope so. A good protein drink should take care of the soreness from muscle strain. Did the seat back break when you were hit?

wait a week or so and see if you don't change your mind about the damage. It looks to me like a very fixable thing. Back as new soon! I know allot of accidents seem allot worse when they first happen.

I feel bad for you, but SoCal is the worst place to be if you wanna avoid getting rear ended I am in fear of this every day in LA and am glad to be safe when I get home ok every day..

The wheel well got bent in to the point it rubbed the rear tire, 1 of the rear passenger doors got pinned so it doesn't open anymore (wedged) and the other rear passenger door is misaligned now so that opening and closing it hitches (despite no physical damage to the door itself). My back seats were down because I had luggage in it from my vacation and now they can't go back up because the trunk area got shoved in.

There's easily frame damage and god knows what else underneath.

I decided against the repair because I didn't think it would ever be the same again.

WOW!!!....I'm speechless...totalling it for that amount of damage....My friend's car got t-bone....deployed all the side airbags and needed a new b-pillar, rocker panel was cut out and replaced, new driver/passanger doors, and quarter panel work.... Far more damage than that and insurance refused to total it.
