I use to have that size for about 300 miles, then I scrapped them (sold them for 1/3 what I paid for them) do to only averaging 28 mpg. Sad .. sad ... sad

Just an fyi, I used smaller echo wheels and tires, it decreased my fuel economy too. Seems they engineered the gearing for best fuel economy.

Those additions may slightly help the get up + Go aspect , but I don't think it would help the mpg aspect at all - possibly even decrease it another 1-2 mpg if anything.

the 17" Enkeis I took off my car weigh 20lbs. The tire weighs 20lbs. So, 40lbs a corner

the 15" Enkei Racing wheels I put on weigh 10lbs & the 225/50/15 tires also weigh 20lbs. 10lbs lighter a corner.

I sure notice the acceleration, & cornering, although my mileage hasn't really changed.

I would guess the 20's are pushing the upper 20lb range if not pushing 30.

by the way, I hope you don't take offense - you have your taste & I have mine...

I went form my heavy Axis TC evos to a set of the sportmax 002 and noticed improvements in my butt dyno. The car has a quicker get up and go. Responds better to breaking and improved my MPG by about 4mpg, As for cornering it helped but the tires I run are cheap rubber so it still need some tweaking.

Rims that are to big for a car make it anoying to drive IMO

now I just have to get the right offset so I can slam the car!

Evelyn, Carlos and Jorge all had the same 20 wheels for a long time. They are very well known on SL.
