Default When did you first need to replace your engine belts?

I'm comin up on 45k miles on my 06 xA and lateley I have been noticing some minor squeeling coming from one or more of my belts. I mainly notice it in the mornings after the car has been sitting for awhile, or when it is wet or humid outside. According to the scheduled maintence manual, the dealer doesn't normally inspect the drive belts until 60k. Should I have them check them out and possibly replace them during my 45k scheduled maintenance, or should I try some belt conditioner first. What should I look for as far as wear and tear to determine myself if they need to be replaced? I've never replaced drive belts before. For those who have done it, is it worth saving money by doing it yourself or is the installation cost low enough to have someone more experienced do it and not worry about it? How much $$? When did you first have your belts replaced?

i have yet to replace my belt they still look great at 39000 miles it depends on how spirited and how much you drive your vehicle i am both types of drivers spirited and distance and like i said before i havent needed to change them but i have had some noise in the morning during the winter months because mainly of the ac and other stuff on at 5000 i did have a problem with reverse gear and some screetching sound but that went away and havent had a problem since
