Default Why aren't xAs as popular as xBs?

I have seen TWO other xAs since I have owned the car (since July). TWO. I have seen like 20 xBs and maybe the same of tCs. Why aren't the xAs as popular? I think they are the best looking of the bunch, personally

Um, I say this as a person who has a xB, and is thinking of buying a xA, so don't bite my head off, but I think that (one of) the reasons is that the xA looks pretty much like other small cars, while the xB looks, well, not like other cars.

Also, the xB has more room.

i don't think this question can be answered. it's all a matter of preference.

Exactly. It's all what you want. The xB is so different, that it turns some people off. That's also why so many people love it. I personally think the xA is the best looking of the bunch too, but that's my opinion. My wife's next car will probably be an xB. They both rock.

Exactly, There are lots of hatchback's that look like the xA, Matrix, Civic, Focus, etc. The xB is more unique, thats why I bought one. That's just my opinion.

I would have to agree. The xA is neat once you get to know
it, but it's not eye catching.

When I showed my boss the photo of the xB I was thinking
of getting, she said "that car is so you, it's unique and
different from the mainstream".

I think a lot of people feel the xA is just another budget
mini-car

I think all the scions are unique. I dont think the xA looks like any other car. It may be similiar in shape and size, but its definitely more stylish. I test drove one and liked it a lot. But the engine power was just not good enough. And I needed cruise control.

The xB takes a little getting use it. Its an aquired taste. Kinda like sushi. When I first laid eyes on the xB, i almost puked. It had to have been the ugliest of the uglys. But now it grew on me a little bit. Not that I would buy one, but it does look like a fun car with personality. Note: I am all for "different", but sometimes "different" is not necessarily a good thing.

tC is no doubt the cream of the crop.

What safety features does the xB have that my xA doesn't have?

TRAC and VSC. I think the RS1 has them, but they're not even optional on the run of the mill xA.

we considered the xA, but the lack of cargo room turned us off along with the lack of trac and vsc. for very little more $$ you got all that in the xB.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you on that one. I have people stare at and ask me about my xA all the time.

yeah so do i, at red lights and when i'm driving i have people ask about my car all the time. the xa gets attention but just hasn't been out as long as the xb has yet. give it time guys and you'll see that it will become more popular, not as much as the other 2 but it will grow.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather have it not popular then to have every pimple faced 16 year old driving the same car I have

LOL...I was thinking that too. I like the fact that they're less common. I pulled into the local Wal-Mart the other night and there were 3 xB's in the parking lot. And those are just 3 that I spotted. There may have been more.

well - i stand corrected. like i said - what do i know?

don't get me wrong, i like 'em. esp. when dropped and rotating some nice rims. but you have to admit, the xB has a more distinct profile than the xA.

Oh, absolutley. The xB is very distintive and unique...for now. In about three years, after the Honda Element has been around a while and after the Nissan Cube and the Ford Syn-Us come out, it will be a little different. Like I said, I love them both.
