Default xA RS 1.0 sunroof possible problem????

I've had my xA RS 1.0 for a little over two monthes. I was cleaning the sunroof and discovered what looks like spots on the glass. Actaully they look like dried tea stains. I use Stoner's Invisible Glass to clean, so I know it's not the cleaner. The spots will not go away. Looking up from inside the car the spots are not noticable, but I am concerned that they have appeared. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm calling my dealer tomorrow to discuss the issue, I just thought I'd check here as well.

Most likely it's hard water spots. They develop easily on glass, especially your sunroof since water tends to just sit there compared to you windshield and you can see it much easier since it's tinted.

My solution is try using a claybar to clay it out. Using harsh detergents like lime-away (stuff you use for your bathroom windows) will eat up at paint.

^^^^ What M-Flo said. It's hard water. I've got the problem too. I never heard of a claybar... when I first read it, I thought M-Flo posted "crowbar". Yeah, a crowbar would pretty much take care of the hard water spots as well.

I had the same problem, but I had it on my windshield and sunroof. It's the water. Use a MR. Clean Magic Eraser. It's like sponge just wet it and wipe it over the glass. Good Luck!

I agree with goof off. I use it for decals on windows, tree sap, and graffiti. That stuff works great.

xars2.0,

Sounds like you have a blocked drain channel, you need to clear the channels on either side of the front of the sunroof. usually this is done by either compressed air or high pressure water. If you know any shops that do sunroofs bring it there just incase its a busted seal.

I cleaned it out but it still leaks. Too, if I push down on the front part of the sunroof and pop the back part up a little bit, it won't leak. It's like the front doesn't go down all the way and the back sits too low. It's frustrating as hell since I don't have a garage.
