xA vs. SE-R!

alright, so here goes my last attempt at this one... We're all intelligent here, so if you think my numbers need adjustment say so, but don't be a pain and say something simple like "the SE-R is going to kick the xAs ___"
manual drive transmission loss for the xA is like 12.1%... with all the mods he mentioned he would be lucky to get 110 hp/108? ft pounds to the wheels (I'm guestimating, Stylis had a manifold back exhaust and Injen style intake and was putting 101 to his heavy azz 18" wheels)
xA: 0.047/0.046 hp/torque weight ratio
I would think that the SE-R automatic would have a 15% drivetrain loss on an automatic (is that too much considering 12% on our manual?) on a 2700 pound car with 170 HP and 175 ft pounds of torque (http://www.se-r.net/about/sentra_se-r/specs2.html) which would equate to about 145hp/149 torque to the wheels...
all this on a 4 speed automatic vehicle (I've yet to see shifting on an automatic that can really shift well when the pedal is down)
SE-R: 0.053/0.055 hp/torque weight ratio
so we're talking about 6 1 thousandth and 9 1 thousandth of a difference, which don't let it fool you is something to at least notice...
still, even though the numbers are against this xA owner I would say have fun... the worst that could happen is you get edged out by a car length (or two) by a sportscar that has 60% larger engine than you

Calculates your aproxx quarter mile...
is not very accurate but it will give you a number to think of
i calculated the xb with injen intake so is 112 flywheel hp and it says 17 sec quarter mile haha

Okay. got to put my 2cents. first off. I hope this race is going to be a track. all things being eaqual the power to wait ratio would be the deciding factor. but driver experience will play heavily in this race, what road & track say it will run, you or I won't get close. I spent money, got some sponsors and my xb with a auto still runs 19's and mid 18 is the best, but I suspect happy clocks that night. everybody was fast that weekend.
the first one to finish line is not always the fastest one either. last night I ran a honda civic, 17.8 was his dial in, we ran heads up. I caught the light better than he did, He was snoozing, I crossed the finish line first 19.06, he was on my bumper at 17.86, he broke the light after I did, later exam of time slips showed I cut a .7 second quicker reaction time. we have a member of our SE chapter run his stock stick xb and get 20 and 22 et. mine is an auto and I was faster and I out weigh him by 100 lbs. Auto faster than stick? I have a dc header, stylis exhaust, k&n cold air intake. Power to wieght does not always win. Always consider the driver. Be safe and take it to the track when you do race.
