Default 106k and climbing. What to expect

Hey guys, I have an 05 xb and I do love this car. And after reading that they are going to discontinue the XB I think I will keep it for a while longer.

Anyway just wanted to know what the general consensus is on what things are going to go wrong with this car in the near future. So far I have had to replace the water pump at 55k, the right rear wheel bearing at 75k and an coolant temp sensor at 95k. So I am wondering about the CAT, and the alternator. I know some cats go out at around 120 k or are no longer efficient. I have replaced Toyota alternators at around 125k. SO I am just trying to figure out what to expect from this car in the future. It is still getting 30 to 34 MPG regularly which I am very happy about. Have been running synthetic in it since 5k and it loves that. Oil is still at the full mark after 7500 miles. Anyway thanks guys!

normal maintenance + wear + tear is what has been posted over the years. No major reports. I believe somebody had hit the 300K mileage awhile ago.

I'm at 170k, nothing but expected things like belts.... just had it in for a close once over. the shop guy told me i had better plan on keeping it for sometime as it was in GREAT shape. no runs, no drips, no errors. garage floor remains clean and dry where I park it. I did switch up to a high mile synth blend and an over size filter ( from the Echo). I bought this car expecting two years... now on year 8 and still happy. I guess I WOULD TELL YOU TO EXPECT SMILES

227k here on my '05 (bought 12/04)

Nothing extraordinary done, still runs really well.
It still has the stock clutch, coil packs and battery which really surprises me.

Starting to burn a little bit of oil these days maybe a qt for 4k miles and the clutch slips a bit when cold or really loaded down. The exhaust manifold has a small crack in it that's starting to annoy me a bit, probably get that welded soon.

I love this car.

162,xxx on my '06. Normal maintenance. Just now needing an axle (thump! thump! thump!). Other than that, only battery, tires, oil and filter. About $0.23 per mile total operating cost since purchased new.

UPDATE: After coming back from the shop (Midas), it's the driver's front wheel bearing. They're not sure if it needs the hub too, until they take it apart, but $670 for everything, including alignment ($90). Also includes a new hub at $156, which won't be used if not needed. I have a press, so I may do this myself, and save the $274 in labor.

How long do the original alternator and power steering pumps typically last on this engine?

I'm at over 117,000 now and only have replaced the belts, spark plugs, and filter. This engine is great.
