1st - 2nd Grind. Gearbox Noes! GM synchromesh helps?

Has anyone ever used gm synchromesh on the 1st gens tranny? I have the worst 1st to 2nd grind and dont want to resort to replacing the tranny yet.

Grinds only occur after the car has warmed up after a good 20 min of driving...

Any suggestions?

Never used it on my xB, but did use it on my old civic, tho I used the "Friction Modified" and it seemed to help. It sounds like you may just want to look into some tranny work soon tho...

scion tc are the same way its not like a missed geared grind its more like a clunk

Mine is DEFINITELY a grind lol.

When you hear it, its almost like a "cshhrrakkkk"

Do you have a way to record a quick youtube of it? I'm deadly curious to know what it sounds like... always looking out to see if my box is starting the slippery decent to fail
