My g/f has an 05 scion xB with almost 100k miles on it. When she got in it this morning and started backing out of the driveway, 3 lights came on.
Check Engine
Traction Control
Vehicle Stability Control
Does anyone have any idea what would have caused this? Or how to fix it?
The last time she drove the car was Thursday and it was just a couple of blocks to the store and back.
We had also changed the front breaks Wednesday night but she went to work and the store Thursday with no problems. She didn't drive it again until today (Monday).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

A CEL could be any number of problems. Your best bet is to go to an auto parts store and get a code reading for the car. That way you will know why the lights are coming on.
