I pretty much like my K&N drop in filter. It does what you need, and it's cheap. No show wins here, but i drive it daily and it works fine. I noticed it took some of the crank-up tone down a bit, not as loud. Has anyone had the drop in K&N, then gone to a CAI? Could you feel much difference?

i am positive you would feel and hear a difference from a drop in to a CAI it has alot to do with the air flow patern, just look at the OEM tubing its all rippled and causes the air to be very turbulant and overall is restrictive....as to Injen SRI being CARB legal that i was unaware of but..... its still a SRI sucking in alot of engine heat.....ill stick with a CAI

seems like a lot of people are having issues w/ their k&n's throwing codes...I have the K&N drop in filter in the stock setup for now...I will be changing that as soon as I get my new intake made.

The INJEN SRI for the xB has been CARB legal for a while now, and comes w/ the placard on it. THE SRI filter sits outside the engine compartment and in the wheel well, alot different than the INJEN CAI for the xA.

I have both, the SRI for the xB, and a CAI for the xA.

Look for a new line of intakes soon. Should just be around the corner.

I hadn't heard of anyone having that problem. I've had mine since March with no problems at all.

Most recent cases...https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...=74108&start=0
Heard it happened w/ a few other cats over the past year. Maybe its just due to poor installation.
Havent heard about any problems w/ the Injen SRI though

On www.trdsparks.com if you look under the Intake and Exhaust section, there's a new Cold Air Intake from TRD coming out soon. here's the link:
