Default Anyone know why my car is making this weird noise?

I just noticed a few days ago, when I'm coasting (15mph or less) when in 1st gear i am getting a noise similar to what a rock rattling inside a muffler would sound like. But it sounds like it's coming from my driverside front wheel area, I pulled off my tire to see and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts to what it could possibly be?

maybe its worth a check. i had to replace mine recently but i had over 70k miles on those bearings.when you turn the wheel in the direction of the noise does the noise stop or become quieter at all?

I haven't really noticed it when turning. It's really just when i'm driving straight in first gear. It sounded like something on my exhaust was loose. I checked that, and my exhaust manifold heat shield was loose so i thought that was it, it tighten the bolts down nice and tight and i'm still getting the sound. It's weird because it only makes the sound sometimes

Thats how my car was, maybe try sometime in a parking lot or something. if its your bearings, when you turn towards the noise it will put weight on the bearing and mute it temporarily. idk tho, its hard to diagnose a problem without seeing and hearing it.

also double check if you have hubcaps that a rock is not actually inbetween the hub and the rim, centrifugal force would keep it from moving around at higher speeds and when you slow down it could rattle like it was clothes in a dryer

jfranco239 , the red circle is around the Lock Ball Assy No. 1,it is neither the fill nor drain on a manual tranny.

i've had this problem with hubcaps, as i've read on here others have as well.

something about one of the tabs breaking off after a while and clicking at low speeds but it goes away at higher speeds, took my hub caps off and it solved the problem.
