Default Auto-Manual conversion

is it worth it,the price, the time... i want to put a OEM manual tranny in. has anyone done this, if its under $1,500 to 2G after the price of the tranny i'd rather have this done than lookin for another car.

The only reason I'd say go buy one is the fact that "when" not "if" something goes wrong your not gonna have a trans that was slapped together with odd parts here and there. It would just be less stress too. No car in shop down time either.

yea. ive done the research on all the parts ill need and the price and all the labor. the outpay isnt worth the money and time especially for a car like mine. ive givin up any plan and saving for it. i only know two people who have successfully pulled off the conversion and one of them is constantly having issues with it because its all just parted together. thanx 4 all the input, just wanted to know if anyone has done it, if it was worth it, and if your end ride was any reliable. and i definitely have an answer now to all of those questions.

i know a few tc owners on here who actually did do the swap but at the end they were having lots of issues..... as far as the xa owners havent heard of anyone doing it..if you have the money and time more power to you..

yeah there are usually a lot more minor things with a swap like that that turn into being major PITAs. Especially with the frames as most vehicles have specific differences between auto and manual setups.

If you have the funds why not....did a swap on two of my S14.
Pain in the butt ... but at the end satisfied.
The main issue I had and not sure if it relates to other model is cutting thru the firewall and installing the extra pedals.
Sometimes I miss the auto due to the traffic.
