Default Brake bleeding with ABS

So in a few days im gonna be removing the end of one rear brake line to change the drum brake backing plate for only about 30 seconds and i figure i better bleed the system in case any air got in.

I know how to bleed the system with the pump and hold method with a friend where they push the pedal 3 times, keep it pushed down, open bleeder 1/4 turn for 2 seconds, tighten bleeder, release pedal and repeat until all air bubbles are out while making sure reservoir never goes dry.

My question is do i have to do anything different since the scion xb 2006 has ABS? Ive heard some cars with ABS have to use a scan tool to activate ABS actuators to remove air bubbles, but Ive also heard they are sealed and disconnecting a brake line for a moment wont let air into at least the ABS portion

Can i just do the traditional bleeding and be safe?

THANKS!
