first off.. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR..
2nd of all..
mufflers(5zigen/tananbe style) ones on ebay go for 40-60 shipped.
a muffler shop will charge anywhere from 30-50 to install a muffler.

you're looking at a lil over 100 for a "tuner" style canister muffler.

remmeber this is the cheapest route.. i would never do it to my car. but whatever u want.. this is the best deal.

Ok, then I guess I am going to have to be the top sales guy here!! (And I am drunk from my B-Day!) The tanabe and 5Zigen are known for being for the xA and need an adjustment for the xB.(Meaning you are going to have to pay a muffler shop to adjust it!) The muffler shop will charge you 30 dollars for a muffler to install, when u can install my muffler for free and its EASY to install! the 100 dollar canister is 100 bucks and is cheaply made by anybody in their garage and I know for a fact that hahajoey would never put something so cheap as those items on his car, even if it was a bet! So I am the shop you want to talk to! Give me a call,
(40 263-8474 Precision Muffler & Brake! Ask for Gabe!

I'm cheap.......so what.

Actually.......I'm not above going with the more pocket book taxing, high quality exhaust work.

However.......I'll save that for when I've got an engine that needs it (ie, if I do a forced induction set up).........and probably do a full Stylis manifold back (plug plug plug).

But for now......the <$50 DIY axle back straigh pipe is working fine for me.

JIC Stainless Rear Section - $288 + Shipping

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10476

I plan on getting one, probably because i've never seen a 'precision' exhaust.

Gabe, you and I and other try to provide quality products at a reasonable price, then becaue someone wh is new to forum hasn't heard of us, or doesn't do a subject search, we are not a reputable source, never mind the time in dynoing that you do, or the time I spent checking wiring diagrams & schematics. A couple of bucks and they buy from someone else. Our hard work will be rewarded someday.I will quit whining now. Waah Waah. Bill

I seriously hope everyone would fork out $13 more for full mandrel, full SS piping & fully robotically TIG-welded exhaust from JIC - one of the more established tuners in Japan.

this: http://img21.photobucket.com/albums/...8-2865_IMG.jpg shows the crush bends as well as what I presume to be aluminized steel piping sprayed w/ black hi-temp paint of the 'Precision' system. this stuff: http://precisionmuffler.com/066c2520.jpg looks like something a HS kid welded in shop class & nowhere near 5Zigen/JIC quality.

btw, a $100 muffler is NOT generic. on summitracing.com: Dynomax Ultra Flo, 2 1/2 in. center inlet/center outlet, stainless steel, muffler $106.88 . Seeing you're a muffler shop, surely you know that muffler is just as good as the Magnaf MIG welded onto your exhaust systems...

finally, can't blame Scion owners for being cheap. These are $15K entry level compact cars targeted at pre-Gen X/first time buyers, not $50K Bimmers/Benzos.

Honestly after all this rampant advertising, I think I'd rather not spend my money with that muffler shop. Don't companies have to pay to advertise on here?

What are the Mods doing?
