Default Cleaning exhaust tip and muffler

Can anyone recommend some cleaner that I can use on my exhaust? The tip is spotted and somewhat rusty (I have a Strup) and I wanted to see if I could clean it up a bit. Can I buy that rust remover stuff you use in bathrooms? Or what about that stuff you use for silverware to clean it up? I was thinkin about using a scrubber like steel wool but I wasnt sure if that scratches it up or not. No one is going to crawl under the car to see what my exhaust looks like, I just kind of want it to shine in the sun like a big 'ol BLING, ya know? Thanks =)[/u]
