Cold Air Intake for 06?
they are CARB approved only for 04-05, not 06. The 06's cam with a carbon filter similar to the tC. Until someone can develop a intake filter with the carbon piece in it, there wil be no CARB approved intakes for 06+ xB or any tC.
if this question is about fitment, yes they fit, but some do take a bit of finessing to get them to fit properly...

Have you driven an xB with the cold air? I haven't driven one with the short-ram, so I wouldn't venture a guess as to the difference or similarity between them. But regarding this engine, I doubt there's a huge difference if any...
There is a big difference in one area - SHOW. The Short Ram leaves a big blank space where the stock airbox is. The CAI looks a lot nicer for shows, etc. Plus I like seeing my filter stick out by the drivers front fender

On Fujita...
What "TheScionMan" said is correct. The design of the Fujita is superior to other short rams because of the relationship of the breather hose to the MAF sensor. The price is also better than many of the other "big name" short ram intakes out there. I installed one on the wife's xB and couldn't be happier.
On CARB exempt intakes for the '06...
There is no such thing. As of yet, no one has gotten an intake for the '06 xB approved. I doubt anyone ever will as long as they are requiring a charcoal canister.
The good news? You can order one of the CARB approved intakes for an '04-'05 and get the CARB sticker with it. It will work fine on the car, and cops will not know the difference. The only time you may have issue is getting the car smogged. Even then, I doubt it.

AEM is currently working on a CAI for the 06 xB right now....they have the model number posted on the site....they had the picture as well....i tried to order it and they said that its still in the R/D stage and will be out by the summer and it will be CARB approved.....
but i still dont know what to do....i want to to start adding things to my box now and I really wanted the AEM Intake, but they said that it wont be out till this summer....they have had this intake posted on the site for purchase for over 4 months already and the minute i go to get they tell me that its on hold 4 more months.....i dont want to wait till the summer and they tell me some other story about how they need more time....so know im thinking of going w/ another company but i dont know which one.....i want the cold air but dont know which company is the best.....
